Fighter Illustrations

Messing around with some new color scheme techniques. The dalmatian soldier is done with a tri color scheme, blue – violet – orange. Blue and violet are near each other wheel and orange is on the opposite. I use the blue and violet to keep value areas where I do not want the eyes to veer, and orange the areas that do. I muted the blues and violets to let the orange lighting really pop. I added the yellow bow knot as a trim to bring attention to the head area.

On the knight, I used a red – yellow – violet color scheme, colors which are near each other on the color wheel. When I use this color scheme, I feel it gives a sense of unity, or an over arching idea. The idea I was shooting for was royalty, loyalty and righteousness.
